Sana Costume Design

This is the design for Sana's clothing, for my comic "The Road to Westhaven." The top is based on a traditional female Thai outfit.

Sana's a bodyguard, so her clothing has to be loose and comfortable, without getting in the way when she fights. Thus the simple top. I like the bare shoulder; it just looks interesting, and it would have the psychological effect of showing off the bodyguard's neck and shoulder muscles. She wears simple pantaloons, again for loose comfort. Bodyguards should never wear skirts.

The center shows the detail on her belt buckle, which actually ties the belt together. This is the crest of the House that Sana guards for: two snakes eating their own tails.
